Brunch at Big Bird's ? Verging On Serious

Sunday I attended a ?Healthy Brunch? workshop hosted by my dear friend, Deborah Grimberg.? She is brilliant in so many ways, one of which are these fantastic cooking and baking workshops she hosts in her (unbelievable) pad.

I have mentioned her before, here.

In place of a biological clock, I have a house-ological clock.? That is to say, I have serious apartment envy.? And this one is oh, so enviable!

Jazz musician Charles Mingus, and Big Bird creator Kermit Love both lived here!

I could go on and on?but coveting my friend?s property is not the point of this post.

Deborah, together with the creative and culinary genius of Libby Howard & Georgia Sinclair put on the most charming cooking lesson ever!? If you want to get in on the action, please let me know and I will hook you up for the next workshop in January.? The cost is super affordable considering how much you learn (and eat!).

Being? a sucker for the British accent, I pretty much fell in love with all of them?though that may have had something to do with the elixirs being poured by Georgia?s mixologist husband.

Cornbread french toast with grilled tomatoes, spinach and avocado.

Libby gives instructions, french toast is created.

The making of 'Vegan Brunch Muffins'

Homemade Cahew Almond Butter in the making.

The audience in rapture during first cocktail tutorial.

Bircher Muesli, Vegan Muffins, Sugar-Free Banana Bread, and Breakfast Smoothie.

I will stop there.

I got bored taking photos, and wanted to focus on the eating, so I didn?t snap everything.

Clearly there was a lot of delicious food and drink!? I went home with a goodie-bag and a stack of new recipes.

I couldn?t ask for a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

For amazing (mostly gin) drink recipes, check out this WEBSITE.

If you live on the other side of the pond and are looking for a Nutritional therapist & consultant ? look up Libby!?

Both Deb and Georgia live and work in NYC and can be tracked down here and here.

Below is one of my fave recipes from the brunch.? We made & ate 5 dishes and took home the recipes for 9 meals and 4 cocktails.

Libby Howard created the food recipes, and? Ali Dedianko the drink.
