Wow, this looks like a really great idea. I'll be making a character, hopefully I'll have her submitted within the next hour or two.

Alright, I'm making a character. But how exactly would we get out of the cells? O_o

I'll join! :) But I don't understand... So there's gonna be both criminals and non criminals in the cells and no one remembers a thing? Is that right or?

I have this theory that, depending on your attitude,
your life doesn't have to be this ridiculous charade
that it seems so many people end up living.

Now what is in the cells and the hall outside? The given picture for the hall showed at least seven weapons.

Nothing in the cells but the bare minimum of what would be needed, and since everyone starts off locked down the weapons are out of thier reach, or you could just explain it that I had no control over the photos, I didnt take them my self ;)

Manhunt after 2 shot dead, 2 wounded in LA area

By Melissa Pamer and Jonathan Lloyd, NBCLosAngeles.com

Two people were killed Wednesday in two shootings, including one at a business in Downey, Calif., and authorities continue to search for the gunman.

Initial reports indicated three people had been killed. Downey police later confirmed two deaths.

Two people were hospitalized after the shootings at a business in the 8700 block of Cleta Street (map) and another at a residence in the 8500 block of Cleta Street, Downey Fire Department officials said.

The business address, identified as United States Fire Protection, appeared to be located across from a Coca-Cola bottling plant.

Details regarding the wounded victims' conditions and gunman were not immediately available. The two injured victims were transported to St. Francis and Long Beach Memorial medical centers.

The shooting was reported at 11:25 a.m. The gunman's vehicle was described as a black 2010 Chevrolet Camaro.

Dean Wright, who works next door, described the business as a family owned fire extinguisher business. He told NBC4 family members lived at the Cleta Street residence located just a few blocks from the business.

"I'm right next door, and I never even heard a shot," said Wright. "I looked and the police had surrounded the building.

"It's so sad."

Radio Liberty silenced in Russia by Washington

Read 111 times.

BBG Watch Commentary

In an article published in National Review Online, Mario Corti and Ted Lipien argue that Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) executives have mislead the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) and the American public on the circumstances and the reasons for the mass firing of Radio Liberty journalists in Moscow.

The authors state that contrary to the assertions from RFE/RL president Steven Korn that the journalists were respectfully, fairly and generously treated, there is abundant evidence that they were coerced by security guards, humiliated and given no choice but to sign their termination documents, and were not allowed to say good bye to their audience of many years.

Corti and Lipien cite a letter written to the Broadcasting Board of Governors by fired Radio Liberty journalist Veronika Bode. Many other Radio Liberty journalists have also written to the BBG describing the humiliating treatment they were subjected to by RFE/RL executives. They have also sent letters to the White House, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and members of Congress.

Mario Corti is an Italian journalist and Russian-speaking writer whose books have been published in Russia. He is a former director of Radio Liberty?s Russian Service.

Ted Lipien is an American journalist, media expert and writer. He is a former Voice of America acting associate director and was in charge of marketing and program distribution for the BBG, including Russia, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Corti and Lipien point out in their National Review article that RFE/RL executives mislead the BBG into believing that Radio Liberty journalists were resistant to change and not capable of doing digital media when in fact Radio Liberty had one of the most advanced multimedia news website in Russia with live video streaming and social media outreach, while new employees brought on board by the new Russian Service director Masha Gessen lack such skills. They also note that RFE/RL executives fired almost the entire highly-talented and praised Radio Liberty Internet team to clean house for the new director who later accused independent journalists of slandering her for suggesting a link between her appointment and the dismissals. She had previously worked as a consultant for RFE/RL. Kremlin officials use accusations of slander and the new anti-libel law signed by President Putin to stifle investigative reporting in Russia.

The authors also take issue with RFE/RL executives? position that they did everything to keep Radio Liberty on the air in Moscow. Corti and Lipien explain the new Russian media law does not prevent the Voice of America from broadcasting in Moscow and that Radio Liberty could have asked for using the VOA affiliate or found other arrangements. They argue that RFE/RL management and the BBG in Washington have capitulated to President Putin. Radio Liberty will continue to broadcast on shortwave, but it?s not clear for how long since the best broadcasters are gone.

The article lists numerous protests against the actions of RFE/RL executives from prominent Russian political leaders and scholars, including former president Mikhail Gorbachev, former reform-minded prime minister and deputy prime minister Mikhail Kasyanov and Boris Nemtsov, Professor Vladimir Shlapentokh (Michigan State) and a group of legendary human rights activists led by Lyudmila Alexeeva.

Corti and Lipien also take issue with RFE/RL president?s argument that Radio Liberty was overstaffed and had too many reporters covering Putin?s Russia. They point out that some of the best independent journalists in Russia were unceremoniously dismissed and that Radio Liberty has lost its reputation and credibility. It appears highly unlikely that prominent independent journalists in Russia will want to work for Ms. Gessen after what happened to their colleagues. It is also unlikely that democratic opposition leaders and human rights activists will associate with the station as they did in the past.

Corti and Lipien conclude that ?Steve Korn and Masha Gessen are not launching a digital revolution. Instead, they have created a weapon of mass destruction that has vaporized Radio Liberty in Russia and damaged America?s reputation everywhere.?

Facebook's mobile surprise allays growth fears

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Facebook Inc grew mobile advertising revenue several times in the third quarter, a faster-than-expected pace that helped drive shares in the world's No. 1 social network nearly 13 percent higher.

Facebook said on Tuesday that it now gets 14 percent of its advertising revenue from mobile ads, helping to reassure investors that the social network is beginning to figure out how to earn money off smartphone and tablet users.

Mobile ad revenues totaled roughly $150 million, up from an estimated $40 million to $50 million in the second quarter and almost nothing in the first.

"This certainly dispels the most bearish view, that Facebook couldn't monetize people on phones or tablets," said Colin Sebastian, an analyst with Robert Baird & Co.

"In about a six-month period they've actually started to generate decent revenues form their mobile applications," Sebastian added, though he said Facebook still needs to show that its mobile ads can command the same rates as its traditional ads and that they can deliver results for marketers.

Mobile advertising has been among the key investor concerns hanging over Facebook, helping slash more than $40 billion off its market value since its May IPO. As its users increasingly access the social network with their smartphones, Facebook has struggled to transition its business to mobile devices.

The mobile ads helped reignite Facebook's overall advertising business during the third quarter, following several consecutive quarters of slowing revenue growth that raised questions about Facebook's long-term prospects.

Advertising revenue increased 36 percent to $1.09 billion, up from 28 percent growth in the second quarter. But revenue from its payments and other businesses increased just 13 percent to $176 million.

Mark Zuckerberg, the 28-year-old chief executive who created Facebook in his Harvard dorm room, said mobile was the "most misunderstood aspect" of the company and took issue with the "myth" that Facebook could not earn money on mobile.

"Over the long run we're going to see more monetization per time spent on mobile than on desktop," Zuckerberg said on a conference call with analysts on Tuesday.

The company's shares leapt nearly 13 percent to $21.97 in after-hours trading on Tuesday.

Facebook said it had crossed the 1 billion threshold for monthly active users by September 30, of which 604 million were mobile users, a gain of 61 percent from a year earlier.

The shift to mobile has challenged many of the Web industry's top companies. Google Inc is the No.1 provider of smartphone software with its Android operating system. But the company missed Wall Street's revenue targets in the third quarter, with some analysts blaming the shortfall on its increasing reliance on lower-priced mobile ads.

Social game maker Zynga Inc, which announced layoffs of 5 percent of its staff on Tuesday, has suffered as it struggles to translate its hit games to mobile devices and as the use of its games on Facebook's service declines.

NOT PLEASED WITH GAMING

Zynga's woes were visible in Facebook's results, with Facebook's payments revenue from the maker of Farmville down 20 percent year on year.

Zuckerberg said he was not pleased with revenue from gaming, but said that beyond Zynga - which accounts for 7 percent of Facebook's total revenue - the situation was brighter.

"The interesting thing is that the rest of the games ecosystem has actually been growing. Our monthly payments revenue from the rest of the ecosystem increased 40 percent over the past year, since payments has been adopted," he said.

Zuckerberg also said Instagram, the photo-sharing app that Facebook acquired for roughly $750 million this year, now has 100 million users, up from 27 million when Facebook bought the company.

Facebook posted a net loss of $59 million or 2 cents a share in the three months ended September 30 after booking a big provision for income taxes. Excluding share-based compensation and income tax adjustments, it earned 12 cents a share, a penny higher than the average analyst expectation.

Facebook Finance Chief David Ebersman said the company would continue to invest aggressively during the fourth quarter, though the company did not provide a specific financial outlook, in keeping with its previous practice.

Ebersman said that the total number of ads that Facebook delivered in the third quarter increased 27 percent year-on-year and that the average price per ad increased 7 percent.

Facebook's third-quarter mobile revenue marked a big jump from the second quarter, when Facebook said that it was generating more than $1 million a day from a new class of ads that appear in users' newsfeeds. Facebook said that roughly half of that revenue was from mobile ads, suggesting that mobile advertising revenue totaled $45 million in the second quarter.

Stifel Nicolaus analyst Jordan Rohan said that Facebook's mobile ad revenue was impressive, but said that Facebook needs to proceed carefully so as not to damage the user experience by overloading its service with too many ads.

And he said that Facebook's desktop PC advertising business appeared to have shrunk by about $40 million from the second quarter. Rohan said he would rather see the desktop ad business remain stable as the mobile ad business grows.

Facebook's third-quarter revenue of $1.26 billion was a hair above the average analyst expectation of $1.23 billion, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.

The Bitten Word: Everyday Food Cover-to-Cover: All the Recipes in ...

"The dish as it was needed some meat or some?complement?to make it extra savory. ?Good solid base for a dish, but could use a few small tweaks to make it perfect. ?Sage, Broth, and Cream on their own make a VERY solid combination, where as you could throw any tasteless food and it would be great. ?One of my main thoughts (pointed out by my super-farm-friendly roommate) is that perhaps if this was a dish in the spring (when most parsnips are ripe with natural sugars) that it would have held up better on its own. ?Would I make it again? ?Absolutely!"

"The ingredient list is mercifully short and the prep work couldn't be easier for this dependable side dish. There is nothing here that is going to knock your socks off, but the parsnips cook up to a nice, tender texture and the rosemary flavor is noticeable but not overpowering. Since I'm not the sort to have fresh herbs on hand, I tried one little pan with fresh rosemary (on the left in the photo), and the other little pan with dried rosemary (on the right in the photo) for fellow short-cut cooks. Verdict? The dried rosemary tasted a little different, but just as good." ?

"To be honest, my husband and I weren't drooling at the idea of Chicken Potpie Pasta. It sounds likely to lead to a weird mush of sticky noodles.? We invited another couple to split the final product.? Our review: not bad!? It's easy enough to make if you already have diced chicken laying around.? And it?really?tastes like chicken pot pie!? I think I'd prefer a flaky pie crust to penne pasta, but this is a quicker, easier, and healthier alternative.? Not gummy at all; more velvety, in fact.? And the green beans add a nice freshness and crispness to the dish.? I might not be adding it to my regular repertoire, but I wouldn't turn away a second helping!"

It also got me to try something new: parsnips (tasty!).? My only complaint about it is that the greens kind of clumped up with the parmesan in the pasta.? I also might use a hot Italian sausage rather than sweet next time--I think it could have used the extra kick." ?

"Although this was my first ever try at making stuffed shells, I couldn?t resist the urge to monkey with the recipe (just a little!).?As written, the pasta bake is a slight twist on the standard stuffed shells. The basil and zucchini in the ricotta filling keep things light and fresh, but the only other change is the addition of sliced pepperoni on top. I wanted to pay homage to Top Chef contestant Mike Isabella?s famous pepperoni sauce, but I also wanted to keep the recipe fairly simple. Rather than making the sauce from scratch,?I chopped up the 26 slices of pepperoni called for in the recipe (yes, I counted) and tossed them in a hot pan to crisp up a little and render out some fat. Then I just dumped the jar of marinara in and stirred it all together.?

I followed the rest of the recipe to the letter, and was rewarded with a tasty pan full of bubbling sauce and gooey cheese, and a kitchen that smelled like a pizzeria. Certainly nothing fancy or earth-shattering, but a tasty meal with some fun twists."

"I thought of these shrimp more as finger food than as a main course.?I halved the recipe because it was only my fiance and I eating it as an appetizer. I made the cornbread that the recipe called for in the morning and crumbled it in the afternoon. I made everything else at night. I used fresh shrimp instead of?frozen?ones. As we were having it as an appetizer, I did not give much importance to the salad, so I only used some lettuce dressed with olive oil and cider vinegar, mostly just for presentation. Finally, I made a cocktail sauce with?mayonnaise, ketchup and a little bit of?Dijon?mustard and?Worcestershire?sauce for dipping. The sauce really made this dish shine.

I really liked this recipe. The stuffing turns out really flavorful and tender. The shrimp, however, turned out overcooked and they were kind of hard to bite into. I would really make this again for a dinner party appetizer, maybe using less baking time and temperature."?

Those friends are also some of my favorite cooking buddies, so they were totally into the idea and the project. We added oven-baked potatoes and a cherry-chocolate-chip scone and it was good! Tasty, easy...we made two small changes to the recipe: we thought 6 eggs skimpy for 4 (3 men) and bumped it up to 9; we also removed the salmon to a bowl and added it back to the pan after the eggs were cooked because we felt like it would be prettier. We made two substitutions/changes: 1) We chose to use fried chicken tenders from the grocery's deli section rather than frozen tenders, as I've never found frozen chicken appealing and it sped up cook time even more. 2)?We toasted the corn tortillas in an iron skillet rather than over a flame as we have an electric cooktop.? Overall, I thought the tacos were tasty, especially for how quick and easy they were.? I'm not fond of pre-packaged, processed foods, so if I were to make this recipe again, I would probably make the tortillas and definitely make my own chicken tenders.? "So my thoughts on the recipe: very good and definitely an easy, comforting dinner! I went through the recipe too quickly so missed adding the milk to the meatballs, so they were a bit dry. I also used less shallots because of food sensitivities in the household. I added a splash of white wine to the mushrooms, used 93% lean ground beef, and angel hair instead of spaghetti -- everything still turned out great. I think fresh dill is pretty key here. I usually am the first to sub in dried herbs, but the fresh really add something!"?

"There are a few obvious reasons why my husband and I liked this sandwich:

- There's bacon. And it's sprinkled with brown sugar, then roasted until crispy and slightly caramelized. What's not to love about that??

- The roasted tomatoes! Roasting cherry tomatoes really deepens their sweetness and flavor.?

- The cayenne-jalape?o mayo gives the smoky/sweet layers?a nice kick.

There's one thing we did not like: when I assembled the sandwich, I started with the tomatoes on the 1st (mayo-spread) slice of bread -- and by the time the other layers were piled up, the bottom had gone soggy!

The bread should probably be toasted -- it would make the whole thing less messy to eat!"

"Being fans of beer, football and fall, we were pretty pumped to get a sloppy joe and kale chip recipe! This recipe was perfect for a crisp fall Sunday.

Adaptations: We started out the recipe exactly as written, but made modifications as we went along. For the sloppy joes, we ended up adding an extra can of diced tomatoes, extra Worcestershire as well as various seasonings- smoked sweet paprika, cayenne pepper, a little chili powder. We ended up cooking it maybe twice as long as the recipe called for, reducing the extra can of tomatoes and making it saucier and more flavorful. The sweet potatoes needed to cook longer as well.?For the kale chips, we did multiple batches, one with salt and olive oil, the other with chili, cumin and red wine vinegar. They were both excellent!

Verdict: The recipe as written would probably be pretty bland without modifications for personal preference, but this is a great basic recipe from which to start from.?The sweet potato added a nice textural element as well.

Recommended Pairings: Southern Tier Pumpking Ale, Long Trail Harvest Ale, Harpoon Rye IPA.?

Served with:?Potato Salad (via Ina Garten)"

"I loved the new way of making baked potatoes and purposely planned it for a day I'd be home later from work with less time for active cooking time. Although, the process of scooping out the potato pulp, combining it with other ingredients and putting it back in the skins was a a bit messy and putzy, I really liked the results. The potatoes were creamy and delicious and the topping added more texture and great veggie flavor. I chose to add a bit more veggies to mine and decided it would be great served with a mixed green salad for a bit more bulk. I would definitely make this again and it would also be lovely for a casual dinner party."

"First,?I'd edit the name of this recipe to something less misleading -- 'Toast and Jam' Bread Pudding, probably.?The prep for this recipe was a breeze -- I had most of the items on hand already. Soaking the toast in the custard for a half hour, then baking for an hour, and then cooling for another half hour was the hardest part. The bread pudding expanded dramatically in the oven. In fact, mine started spilling out of the loaf pan, so I threw a half sheet underneath it prevent additional spillage. Once out of the oven and cooling, the bread pudding contracted significantly. The finished product tastes very rich and isn't too sweet--perfect with a cup of strong coffee."

"This was a great recipe!? The plums, brown sugar, and butter mix together to create a tasty syrup that one of our tasters described as 'surprisingly autumnal.' The 'crust', which is baked on top of the tatin, stays pretty crispy.? The puff-pastry crust itself is pretty light ? you mainly taste the plums ? but it gets nicely caramelized.? The recipe also comes together easily ? cut plums, melt butter & sugar, cover with crust, bake.? It would be a good dish to make and serve at the end of a dinner party because you don?t have to pay too much attention to it.? It would be fantastic with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.?

I do think cooking this in a cast-iron pan would help the syrup thicken and caramelize a little more.? We had a lot of thin syrup that ended up all over the counter when we inverted the tatin. Bottom line, I would definitely make this again."?

- they didn't rise much at all, so the cake portion was tiny

"The following statement is bound to come back to haunt me if there ever may be a PTA election in my future: I'm not sure the world needs more cute versions of Rice Krispie Treats.?

Maybe it's because I've never been enamored by food coloring, but I don't see how adding even more unnatural ingredients to a dessert that has one of its base ingredients as?marshmallows?is an improvement -- especially when the new process involves making the treats in three batches. The kicker is the instruction that tells you to 'rinse' the pot that held cooked marshmallow between batches.?

This recipe does add citrus zest, which tasted better than I expected, but I don't think it makes up for the fact that I could have made something much cuter (hello, cupcakes!) from scratch in a similar amount of time."

"The Everyday Food Gluten Free Oatmeal Cookies get high marks for?achieving the gluten-free trick without forcing you to go out and buy lots of?specialty ingredients you'll never use again. Because flour is?replaced by grinding oatmeal to a fine powder (and whisking in some?cornstarch and baking powder) you will have to pull your Food?Processor out - an extra step that makes the baking process a bit?messier. But the result is worth it- flavorful cookies with a good?texture! Mine were a bit chewy in the center and very flaky/crispy on?the outside.

Now for what you won't get from the recipe:

1. My cookies did not spread (practically at all) pro: you can fit?more on a sheet; con: you need to form them to shape before baking?because otherwise you'll get tiny cookie mountains.

2. Because you are using the oatmeal 'powder' and oats, I think its?best to let the batter sit for about 15-20 minutes before you bake so?that the oats will soften. Because I am cookie sheet challenged, I?cooked these in two batches. The second - which had to sit for a while?as the first was cooking - had a much better consistency.

I'd definitely make these again for a gluten free friend - or if I was out of?flour and still wanted to bake! Great taste! Worth a try!"

I am not a coconut lover so though I tasted the cake and enjoyed it, I thought that I might not be the best judge of its flavor. My qualified taste testers (aka co-workers) loved it particularly because it was not overly sweet. Some mentioned that it was slightly dry, which could be from overbaking, so I would err on the side of the lower baking time if I were to make it again. If you, like me, aren?t an avid coconut eater, I bet this cake would be delicious without the coconut or with some dried cherries or blueberries in its place, if you are so inclined. Seattle man gets Billy Idol to play his birthday

SEATTLE (AP) ? Michael Henrichsen has ideas about how he might celebrate his 26th birthday this week.

First, Billy Idol rolls up in a limo and tells him to hop in. There are women everywhere. And later, when the British rock icon takes the stage and rips into "Rebel Yell," bras start flying and 1,800 of his closest friends go wild.

Far-fetched? Maybe not. After a two-year campaign that was part resume stunt, part charity drive and part heartfelt effort to get his far-flung friends together for a great time, the irrepressible Seattle man has actually persuaded Idol to play his birthday party Friday night.

"This is surreal," Henrichsen says. "It should not be happening."

So why is it? In his bedroom, surrounded by Cyndi Lauper and Madonna records, a drumstick he picked up at an Idol show two years ago, and rock posters, Henrichsen explains:

In October 2010, he had just turned 24 and was having an early life crisis. Friends were getting married and moving away. He was working three jobs and making little progress paying off $40,000 in college loans.

Salvation came over the stereo at the Bellevue Square Mall's Billabong clothing store, where he worked. It was "White Wedding." Henrichsen turned to a coworker: "Wouldn't it be cool if we got Billy Idol to play at my birthday party?"

She laughed. He laughed. No way, right?

But he went home and thought about it. He loved the way Idol blended pop and rock. Idol seemed like a fun guy. Henrichsen loves other music from the '80s, but he couldn't see Prince or Duran Duran agreeing. Idol, who lives in Los Angeles, wouldn't even have to leave his time zone.

Scoring Idol could also be a major coup for his resume. Henrichsen isn't sure what he wants to do for a career ? something in entertainment or event planning or PR, maybe ? but he thought this could get it started.

"I'm like, how feasible is it?" he says. "I realized it would cost a lot of money, something I don't have, so that's where the creativity came into play. How do you network to convince Billy Idol that it would be a good idea for him to come play a show on a specific date in Seattle?"

The first step was getting a friend, Jim Stamper, to build him a website, www.playmybirthdaybillyidol.com . "I thought it was never gonna work," Stamper says.

The next step was to get people to look at the website. Henrichsen hauled a boom box through a deserted Pike Place Market at night, dancing as "Mony Mony" blared, then posted a video of it. He and friends held a banner over Interstate 5.

But the site didn't start getting much attention until he decided to collect some celebrity endorsements. Comedian Kevin Nealon came to town to do standup, and Henrichsen got him on a 12-second video, telling Idol, "You gotta come to Seattle next October to do ..."

"Michael," Henrichsen prompts.

"... Michael's birthday. It's gonna be awesome."

Endorsements from other B- and C-listers followed: musician Rick Springfield, former Seattle Mariner Jay Buhner, porn star Ron Jeremy. Hanging out at book signings and other celebrity appearances became a fourth job. Only Nikki Sixx from Motley Crue and comedian Tom Green turned him down.

Local media outlets started to notice. And the Google news alerts made their way to Idol's people. They called Henrichsen and told him the campaign was cool, but that they couldn't promise anything.

"When we first became aware of Michael's project we were inclined to see it as just another extreme idea from a well-meaning fan," said Idol's manager, Tony Dimitriades. "But as Michael's campaign continued, his persistence and resourcefulness won Billy over."

It took a while, though.

In the meantime Henrichsen, who sings, plays guitar and does a passable Idol impersonation, put together an '80s cover band, Nite Wave. They began playing a series of charity concerts dubbed Billy Idol Aid and raised more than $10,000 for the American Red Cross and Northwest Harvest, which supplies meals to food banks.

But when October 2011 came around, Idol didn't show. Instead, he sent a video, saying he was sorry he couldn't make it ? but there was always next year.

Though some friends and family were a bit tired of the project, Henrichsen decided to give it one more year. He had bimonthly chats with Idol's people to update them on his status. Eventually, the Showbox, a Seattle venue that hosted some of the Billy Idol Aid events, made an offer to host the event at its location south of downtown.

Finally, last August, Idol's people called from Japan, where he was touring, and said Idol was in, with his band. Henrichsen says he started screaming and running laps around the mall.

And when 900-plus people showed up for Billy Idol Aid IV, they were treated to an official video announcement from the man himself.

"The people of the world have spoken!" Idol thundered. "The dream will become reality ..."

"It's gonna be pretty much the coolest night ever," says Henrichsen, whose birthday was Monday. "We'll have as much fun as possible before we get to the 9-5 part of my life."

NFL Power Rankings: Falcons stay at No. 1

    October, 23, 2012

    Oct 23

    12:02

    PM ET

The latest ESPN.com Power Rankings are out and the Atlanta Falcons remain the unanimous choice at No. 1.

It?s hard to argue with that ranking because the Falcons are the league?s only undefeated team. But, as I?ve said before, the Falcons haven?t played like the NFL?s best team the last three games. The good news is, I?m not sure there clearly is a best team in the league right now.

Coming out of their bye week, the Falcons undoubtedly will make some tweaks. Maybe that will help everything come together at the same time and they truly can start establishing themselves as the NFL?s best team.

As you might expect, the rest of the NFC South rankings aren?t pretty. The New Orleans Saints are at No. 20 and they have a chance to keep climbing because they?ve got a little momentum with a two-game winning streak and Joe Vitt returning from suspension to take over again as the interim head coach.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are No. 26. That might be a little low. Yeah, this team is 2-4, but you can see some positives and I?ve got a hunch the Bucs are going to keep improving as the season goes on.

The Carolina Panthers are No. 29. When I saw that, I quickly looked to see which teams were ranked beneath them. The Browns, Jaguars and Chiefs are. I haven?t seen all that much of the Browns, Jaguars and Chiefs, but I have to wonder if they really can be any worse -- or more dysfunctional -- than the Panthers. I think Carolina?s a team that could be No. 32 in the rankings one of these weeks.
