Alternative therapy for farm animals? | The Main Report's Agri ...

European politicians have voted to spend 2 million euros on research into homeopathy for farm animals.

The European Parliament?s agriculture committee has agreed to fund investigating whether cattle, sheep and pigs can benefit from the alternative therapy.

Homeopathy claims to treat and prevent disease by using greatly diluted forms of herbs and minerals to develop resistance.

However, scientists say homeopathy is a crank medicine ? and the only way it could have any benefit would be due to the placebo effect, which doesn?t work on animals.
