QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -- Prostate cancer may be something a lot of men don't want to talk about, but it effects?1 out of every?6 men and can be deadly if its caught too late.
Quincy Rotary Club members took advantage of free blood screenings and rectal exams Tuesday afternoon?to check for the dangerous cancer.
One survivor says prostate cancer can strike men of all ages and is curable as long as its caught early.
"I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in November of last year and I had to have surgery in January and right now I'm supposedly completely 100 % cured. But you have to catch it early," prostate cancer survivor Jeff Spear said.
The Blessing Cancer Center will be offering free prostate cancer screenings on September 21.
